The working principle is the same as that of a conventional bucket elevator. Material is fed into the bottom inlet and scooped up or dug out by the moving cast iron buckets. Driven by cast iron sprockets and pulled by cast chains, the buckets rise vertically. Upon reaching the top, the material is ejected from the outlet under centrifugal force or gravity. Empty buckets then circulate back to the bottom, and the cycle repeats.
