The components of a wire rope electric hoist are: motor, transmission mechanism, drum and wire rope. It can be roughly divided into four types according to the relative position of the motor and drum.
(1) The electric hoist with the motor axis perpendicular to the drum axis adopts a worm gear transmission device, which is large in width, bulky in structure, low in mechanical efficiency and difficult to process. No manufacturer produces products with this structural type.
(2) The electric hoist with the motor axis parallel to the drum axis has the advantages of small height and length. Its disadvantages are large width, grouping, and complex manufacturing and assembly. The track turning radius is large.
